How ever, those who want a smartphone with some form of privacy and security. The Chinese company has unveiled the M6 and M6 Plus at a launch yesterday, and claims they are the world’s first fully-secure smartphones.

To an extent, this is true, the TouchID-equipped Apple iPhone handsets contain a "secure element" chip. The financial industry-compliant silicon is used for storing data related to the Apple Pay feature, while the Gionee went all in. The security encryption chip used in the M6 and M6 Plus protects user data from malware and prevents potentially intercepted communications from being decrypted easily. Though we don't have much details about it. But, unfortunately, the encryption chip is limited to M6 and M6 Plus units that are sold in China and the global users will have only the fingerprint sensor.

The  smartphones is powered with a 1.8GHz (2GHz for the M6 Plus) MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and part of the notable difference between the two phones comes from the  display sizes, battery capacities and camera quality. While the M6 features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display. a 5000mAh battery and 13MP and 8MP rear and front cameras, the M6 Plus comes with a screen size 6-inches and a massive packed 6020mAh battery capacity and 16MP and 8MP rear and front camera.

Both phones have regular microUSB ports and pack common connectivity features, such as 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and USB OTG. The phones are expected to come with a moderately high price with Gionee asking around $403 for the M6 and $448 for the M6 Plus.
