Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Announced with 6GB, Android 7.0 and Priced $1500

The Huawei picked Germany to unveil the new Mate 9 Porsche Design flagships was not random, the company caught everyone by surprise with the limited edition Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design. The fashion-focused subsidiary of the legendary car making company is not new to phones, but this is Huawei's first partnership with Porsche (Car making company).

The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design has a display of curved 5.5-Inch, making it smaller than its mass market sibling. It is sharper (QHD resolution, 534ppi vs. 1080p, 373ppi) and it is an AMOLED to boot. It’s thinner win 7.5mm and weighing 169g with a dimension of 152 x 75.0 x 7.5mm.

The phone has a fast performance feature borrowed from the Kirin 960 chipset with a higher Ram size upgrade if 6GB and 256GB of internal storage, but does not have a MicroSD card expansion slot. The much talked-about camera adorns the back  Leica-branded with a 12MP color sensor and a 20MP black & white sensor.

This is the second generation of the camera found on the P9. The latest Kirin chipset is capable of 4K 2160p video capture, so that’s another leg up on the P9. The combined cameras do Hybrid Zoom - a 2x digital zoom that combines information from both sensors. The Mate 9 Porsche Design is packed with a 4,000mAh, it has a more impressive charging powered by Huawei SuperCharge technology that pushes a whopping 5A over the USB Type-C cable
This premium handset will be available in the European Porsche Design Stores starting in late December. The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design is set with a price tag of €1,395 (around $1500). The phone will be available in Porsche Design Stores worldwide (aside from the US) and selected Huawei stores in Asia, the Middle East and Europe in January 2017.
