Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A Lunched - Features and Price

Xiaomi has launched its longly rumored devices, successors to the company’s popular Redmi 3 smartphone lineup – Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. Xiaomi launched the devices in the ‘affordable’ mid-range market, the Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 devices gets a 4G VoLTE capable. The company has launched the devices in three variants: Redmi 4 Prime, Redmi 4 Standard Edition, and Redmi 4A.

The Redmi 4A version gets the cheapest price among the Redmi 4 series but still has an all-metal body, even if it looks slightly different from the other two. Packs with a 5-Inch IPS screen with a 720p resolution and runs on the Snapdragon 425 chipset with a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 308, and 2GB of RAM.
Its comes with a 13MP main camera at the top-left corner of the back with a single LED flash.  At the front is a 5MP selfie snapper. The Redmi 4A has 16GB expandable storage via a hybrid dual-SIM slot. It is powered by a 3,120 mAh battery. MIUI v.8 on top of Android Marshmallow. The device will come in gold and rose gold color only, carry a price tag of CNY 499 or $74 in China and will go on sale on November 11. There is no fingerprint scanner on the Redmi 4A.

The Redmi 4 Standard version has a 2.5D glass at the front and  also features a 5-Inch IPS screen of 720p resolution, but its processor is powered by the Snapdragon 430 chip with an octa-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53, Adreno 505 GPU, with 2GB RAM. It also has a 13MP main camera, but sits at the center at the back.
The camera supports phase-detection autofocus and comes with a dual-LED flash (not dual-tone), has a 5MP selfie shooter. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Standard version has an always-on fingerprint scanner at the back, below the main camera. It also features a 16GB internal with an expandable storage on a hybrid dual-SIM slot.

It is packed with a 4,100mAh battery and runs on MIUI 8 with Marshmallow. The device is ready for pre-order in China and will go on sale in Monday, November 7 coming in gold, silver, or dark gray paintjobs with a price tag of CNY 699 or $104.

And finally, the Redmi 4 Prime to join the regular Redmi 4, but features some notable difference. First, it doubles the storage to 32GB with a 3GB RAM. The Redmi 4 Prime still has 5-Inch IPS screen but with a higher 1080p resolution. The upgrades continue with the chipset, which is Snapdragon 625 with an octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 506 GPU.

The Redmi 4 Prime also comes with a dual-tone dual-LED flash next to its main camera, and everything else stays the same as on the Redmi 4 Standard version - the design and the available colors, the fingerprint scanner, the battery capacity, and the operating system. Its is currently available for pre-order in China for CNY 899 or $133 and will go on sale on Monday.
