Officially - Amazon Unveils Touchscreen Echo Show for $299.99

Officially, Amazon has unveiled its latest Amazon Echo product for the 2017; a touchscreen device with built-in Alexa called the Echo Show. Over the week, the device was extensively leaked, but its now available for preorder on Amazon for $229.99. The Echo Show has a built-in display and adds plenty of new functionalities.

It brings you everything you love about Alexa, and now she can show you things. Watch video flash briefings and YouTube, see music lyrics, security cameras, photos, weather forecasts, to-do and shopping lists, and more. All hands-free. Introducing a new way to be together, make hands-free video calls to friends and family who have an Echo Show or the Alexa App.

You can also make voice calls to anyone who has an Echo or Echo Dot. See lyrics on-screen with Amazon Music. Just ask to play a song, artist or genre, and stream over Wi-Fi. Also, stream music on Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and more. It also has powerful, room-filling speakers with Dolby processing for crisp vocals and extended bass response.

It can also monitor the house with compatible cameras from Ring and Arlo. Turn on lights, control thermostats and more with WeMo, Philips Hue, ecobee, and other compatible smart home devices. With eight microphones, beam-forming technology, and noise cancellation, Echo Show hears you from any direction - even while music is playing. Always getting smarter and adding new features, plus thousands of skills like Uber, Allrecipes, CNN, contents from YouTube and Amazon Video and more.

The Show comes with microphone technology similar to the regular Echo, although it has eight microphones instead of seven. The screen itself is seven inches across; set into the frame are a front-facing five-megapixel camera and a pair of two-inch speakers. The new Show will start shipping to customers on June 28th, and Amazon is currently running a promotion where customers can buy two for $360 and save $100.
