Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 vs Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 - Difference, Similarities and Conclusion

Huawei launched the 2019 version of the Y7 Prime, we expect it to be an updated version of the 2018 version.

I think this is a nice article to compare both devices to see the difference and similarities between them. Sure, we expect to see a difference and we also know that somethings will remain unchanged. If you want to buy any of them and wondering which should you get, this article is here to help you make an informed choice.

The comparison of this two smartphones is based on the phone specs, features, complete technical specifications to help you gain clear details about them so you can make a good choice in case you want to buy. Let's start with the specifications.

Y7 Prime 2019 vs Y7 Prime 2018 - Specification

Before we consider or rate any smartphone, the first thing we look out for is the specification. Mainly, buyers make the decision based on the specification and that is why we are starting from here.

Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 - Specification Summary
  • SIM Type: Dual SIM
  • Network: 2G / 3G / 4G
  • Display: 6.26-inch HD+ HUAWEI Dewdrop display

  • Ram: 3GB
  • Internal Storage: 32GB
  • MicroSD Card: Up to 512GB support
  • Front Camera: 16MP
  • Rear Camera: Dual AI 13MP + 2MP
  • Battery: 4000mAh Battery Capacity
Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 - Specification Summary
  • SIM Type: Dual SIM
  • Network: 2G / 3G / 4G
  • Display: 5.99 inches FullView Display
  • Operating System: Android 8.1; EMUI 8.0
  • Processor: Qualcomm 450 Octa-core chipset
  • Ram: 3GB
  • Internal Storage: 32GB
  • MicroSD Card: Up to 512GB support
  • Front Camera: 8MP
  • Rear Camera: Dual AI 13MP + 2MP
  • Battery: 3000mAh Battery
Specification Verdict

From the specification above, there is a difference between the two phones (that is our main concentration) and there are also some similarities. The Y7 Prime 2019 has some updates on the area of the Display, Front camera and Battery capacity.

It has a 4000mAh battery capacity as compared to the 3000mAh of the Y7 Prime 2018, the 2019 version also boasts a widescreen display of 6.26 inches as compared to the 5.99inches of the 2018 version, it also has a better front selfie camera of 16MP as compared to the 8MP of 2018 version.

Aside from the Display, Battery and Front Camera, every other specification is the same but with a different design, like they both have a dual back camera positioned differently. For the 2019 version, the dual camera is positioned vertically with the LED flash underneath the camera.

While for the 2018 version, the dual back camera is positioned horizontally. We can see a clear update made to the 2018 version, therefore, I would recommend the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 over the 2018 version because of this upgrades.

Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 vs Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 - Features

Ideally, we expect to see an added feature also.

Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 - Features
  • Available in Aurora Blue, Coral Red, and Midnight Black
  • AI power saving technology
  • Face Unlock 2.0
  • 4G LTE
  • Easy Mode to provide a better experience
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • OTG support
  • Split-screen
Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 - Features
  • Available in Blue, Black, and Gold
  • Face Unlock 2.0
  • 4G LTE
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • OTG support
  • Split-screen
Features Verdict

There is no much difference within the features area, only that, they both available in different colours, the 2019 version uses an AI power saving technology to ensure a longer lasting battery. This AI Power saving feature is missing in the 2018 version. It also has an Easy Mode feature that makes the device easy to use for handicapped people (work like Microsoft easy of access)

Aside from that, every other thing is the same, both devices can split-screen to enable you to multitask, features both fingerprint and face lock to protect your device. They also support 4G LTE for fast internet browsing, OTG for file transfer.

Since there is no clear difference between the features, I would still make my decision based on the specification (where the 2019 version is a clear winner).

Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 vs Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 - Price

I am including the price because you may have a budget and that would form your bases of decision making between the two devices. That is one of the main reason I added the price.

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 cost around ₹ 15,990 (81,000 Naira), while the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 cost around ₹ 14,990 (75,000 Naira Check on Jumia NG). The price may differ depending on where you are buying the device. But this is the launch prices

Conclusion - Final Verdict

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 version clearly stands out to me, considering all the features, specification and price. If your budget is too tight and you can't afford the 2019 version then you may consider choosing another device with at least a higher battery capacity.

I would usually recommend smartphones with at least 4000mAh. But the price range is that much if, the 2019 version is worth the extra cash.

This is my own decison, you are free to make yours.

Thanks

Specification Verdict

From the specification details above, Pouvior 2 has a better front-facing camera as compared to the Hot 6 Pro, while the Hot 6 Pros has a better back camera. Here in Nigeria, power is an issue so the battery capacity is taken very seriously and here the Pouviour 2 have a large 5000mAh battery capacity while the Hot 6 Pros sport a normal 4000mAh battery.

They both have the same storage capacity, same ram size and features the same display size. They both have a good performance powered with an Octa-core processor that is again enhanced with Android 8.1 OS.

Finally - I will take the Pouviour 2 Pro over the Hot 6 Pro because of the battery capacity and quality selfie camera. Since they both have performed at the same level, then we look out for the difference.

Infinix Hot 6 Pro vs Tecno Pouviour 2 Pro - Features

Infinix Hot 6 Pro - Features
  • Fast charge support

Features Verdict

Both devices feature almost the same features with a slight change. The Hot 6 Pro support a fast charge which is missing in the Pouviour 2 Pro. The fast charge promises a full day usage under a 30 minutes charge.

Aside from that, they are both security conscious featuring a fingerprint scanner and face lock to protect your phones. They also have 4G LTE for super fast internet browsing, No nagging when streaming your favorite video on youtube or stuffing the web.

In summary, since the features are not much different, I would still make my choice based on the specifications.

Infinix Hot 6 Pro vs Tecno Pouviour 2 Pro - Price

The price I guess will make the decision clearer, so I have considered it.

The Infinix Hot 6 Pro cost ₦54,000 from Jumia, while the Tecno Pouviour 2 Pro costs ₦43,490 from Jumia also.

Finally - Final Verdict

Taking everything listed here into consideration, like the price, specifications and feature. The Pouviour 2 Pro clearly stands out to me.

With large battery capacity and camera quality. However, the Hot 6 Pro is also worth buying expecially if you are an Infinix fan.

All in all, you can now make your own choice based on the outlines here.

Pricekart Reveals the Samsung Galaxy M30 Specs and Looks

Just this 2019, a couple of weeks back, Samsung announced its new range of 'M' series budget smartphones. And, just some days back, they launched the Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones at an affordable price with amazing design. Not too long and now, there is strong speculation that the Galaxy M30 is on the way to been launched.

Currently, there is no date yet, regarding when Samsung is actually launching the third smartphone. But, there has been confirmed specifications of the Galaxy M30 smartphone been surfaced online. Just like the Galaxy M10 and M20 smartphones, even this smartphone will sport a gradient finish on the rear panel.

Additionally, the smartphone will come in gradient blue and gradient black colour variants. There’s going to be a fingerprint scanner on the back like the M20, but the clearest difference between the M20 and the M30 is the addition of another camera. This triple camera is said to be made up of a 13MP camera, and two other 5MP sensors, with presumably a wide and a telephoto lens each.

Samsung Galaxy M30 Expected Specification

The picture above is a clear look at how the actual Samsung Galaxy M30 smartphone might look like. The smartphone will come with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2210 x 1080 pixels. Moreover, the display will feature an infinity-V notch and will be protected by a 2.5D curved tempered glass.

Not much different from the Galaxy M20. Again, the Galaxy M30 will also be powered by the Exynos 7904 processor. On the storage end, it will sport 6GB of RAM and will be coupled with 128GB internal storage. It's quite difficult to see a 6GB RAM smartphones on the budget price range, so probably we many expect the device to sport 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage.

The Galaxy M30 will sport a triple camera setup on the rear panel. This setup will include a primary 13MP with f/1.9 aperture, a 5MP secondary camera and a wide-sensor with f/2.2 aperture and the third 5MP has a depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

On the other hand, the front camera will feature a single punch-hole 16MP camera. The front camera will be backed with an f/2.0 aperture. And for the power, the device may be powered by a 5000mAh battery.

As we all know that big battery mobile phones can last for more than a day on full charge. On the dimension end, it will measure 159 x 75.1 x 8.4mm and weigh 175 grams. Connectivity options on the smartphone will include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, 4G with VoLTE.

The price range cannot be estimated currently. Let's await the arrival

How To Convert Image to Word Right on Your Android Device

In today's day and age, struggles that business people had to face just 15-20 years ago are unimaginable to us. How were they communicating with each other without cell phones in their pockets? How were they sending memos, contracts, invoices to other third parties outside their company? How long the whole process took? Or how were they keeping track of their customers and finances?

That's all something that we take for granted today. Nowadays, every business process that you can imagine is automated to some point or at least technology is used to ease the whole process to the end user. At the touch of a button, almost anything can be done.

For example, you could get complete reports about your spendings and earnings, you could track your shipments and know their precise location at any given point in time or you could get your PDF documents editable again.

The idea of using technology in business is to make us more productive. It can also be used for improving our document management skills. We can store, access or convert documents with a few types and swipes right on our mobile devices. All of that wouldn’t be possible without some clever mobile apps.

While talking about the conversion of documents to other file formats, we often think about PDF conversions. While there are plenty of apps that can help you convert PDF documents to editable file formats, one of the hardest conversions that can be done is the conversion of images with text to editable file formats like MS Word.

It is extremely hard to perform such conversion because you need to use something called OCR (optical character recognition) technology. Most of the apps available on the market use poor OCR engines, therefore conversions are poorly done.

Finding the right app that provides excellent conversion quality is not an easy task to perform. After trying many images to Word converter apps, it all came to one app that has given us the most accurate results. It is called Image to Word Converter - Picture Scanner with OCR.

You can use it to convert basically any document in a paper form to editable Word files. That could be all kind of reports, invoices, contracts or maybe some other stuff like your favorite recipes or students notes. You won't be disappointed whatever you choose to convert. Some of the app's most notable features are:

  • - No limits on the number of files or the size you can convert
  • - Screenshots can be converted as well
  • - Built-in powerful image scanner with OCR technology

Although the process of the conversion is fairly simple, we decided to provide you with a step by step guide on how to convert images to Word.

Step 1.

Download the Image to Word Converter - Picture Scanner with OCR app from the Play Store.

Step 2.

After the installation is complete, open the app and select an image you want to convert. You can upload images directly from your smartphone gallery, supported cloud services (Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox, Box etc.) or you could use your Gmail attachments.

Another option is to use the app's built-in image scanner to quickly scan a document. In order to get the best results, we recommend scanning a document on a flat surface without a visible background.
Step 3.

If needed rotate or crop your image, tap the convert button and proceed to the last step.
Step 4

Wait for the conversion to complete and open the converted file in the text editing app like Microsoft Word.
We hope you learned something new today, and that from now on you won't be having any problems with converting your images to a Word file format. Let us know in the comments for what image conversions would you use this app.

Motorola Unveils the Moto G7, G7 Power, and G7 Play

The Moto G-series, a mid-range fan-favorite for years now, is entering its seventh generation. It delivers better and faster chipsets, cameras and charging. They are available in Brazil and Mexico today and will spread to Europe and other parts of the world from the mid-February.

With this new arrival, the Motorola G7 series has shown that less than $300 smartphones no longer sucks. These G series are among those rare smartphones that can be had for under $300 with interesting features. We were able to spend some hands-on time with all of them, but before we get into the details, here is a big spec sheet about them.

From the spec shit, we've got easy $50 increments between the devices, and while the SoC always stays the same, more expensive devices get better screens, more RAM, more storage, and better cameras. Then we get to the battery section and things get crazy. The more expensive device has a smaller battery!

Moto G7 Plus: The Photographer Device

Among the G-Series, the Moto G7 Plus is the most powerful, but the main feature is the photography. The device features a 16MP and 5MP dual camera at the back optimized for low-light shooting.

The 16MP sensor has large 1.22µm pixels, bright f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization for photos, plus electronic stabilization and hyperlapse mode for video. At the front is a 12MP selfie camera with portrait and group selfie modes with AI-powered features like Smart Composition and Auto-Smile capture will help you get the best shot.

The G7 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset, which features four Cortex-A73-derived Kryo 260 Gold cores plus four A53-based cores. It’s paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage (expandable with microSD cards up to 512GB). It goes without saying that it runs stock Android 9 Pie.

This G7 Plus has a 3000mAh battery with fast charge support. This is the first Moto phone to feature the new 27W TurboPower charging mode. It promises 12 hours of usage in just 15 minutes of charging. On the plus side, the phone is compatible with any QC4.0 or USB PD3.0 charger.

It sports a 6.2” LCD on the front with a teardrop notch. It has 1,080 x 2,270px resolution and Gorilla Glass. Stereo speakers with Dolby Audio plus a 3.5mm jack promise an eventful multimedia experience. If you want to go wireless, there’s Bluetooth 5.0 LE with aptX.

Moto G7 Play: The Photographer Device

This variant does not have much difference with the previous version. but looking at it, there is some difference, including the price tag. It has the same 6.2” 1080p+ display and 3,000mAh battery.

The dual camera on the rear goes for a 12MP main module (f/1.8, 1.25µm) and keeps the 5MP depth sensor. It can record 4K video at 30fps as well as 1080p at 30/60fps, EIS and hyperlapse for videos too. The selfie camera has an 8MP (1.12µm) sensor.

The chipset is a Snapdragon 632, which is similar to the 636, though the CPU and GPU are dialed down. You do get the same 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage memory configuration, though.

The phone relies on the old 15W TurboPower charging and gets 9 hours of usage in 15 minutes, instead of 12 hours. Like the Plus, the vanilla G7 P2i water-repellent nanocoating.

Moto G7 Play: The Photographer Device

If you are more bordered about power and don't feel okay with the battery capacity of the first two, these Moto G7 Power has 5,000mAh in its tank, which promises 60 hours (2.5 days) of usage on a single charge. It comes with the 15W TurboPower charger (remember that you can also use any QC4.0 or USB PD3.0 charger). We would have loved to see the 27W charger, though.

Anyway, the Power splits the difference between the G7 Plus and the G7 Play. It has a 6.2” screen with 720 x 1,520px resolution. It’s powered by the same Snapdragon 632 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.

There’s a single 12MP camera on the rear (f/2.0, 1.25µm) and an 8MP selfie camera on the wider notch on the front. The main camera can record 4K video at 30 fps.

The there phones all have displays with notches for the front camera and earpiece. Amusingly, the notch size scales inversely with the price. The $199 Moto G7 Play has a very wide notch, the $249 Moto G7 Power has a medium-size notch, and the $299 Moto G7 has a small, teardrop-style notch.

All three have a bottom bezel with a shouty "Motorola" logo emblazoned on the front, which seems ugly and dated.

Also, they have an aluminum internal frames, but you won't see any of this metal exposed on the outside of the phone. All the G7s have plastic sides that get various treatments, working up to a faux-metal paint on the Moto G7. The backs are all different, too.

The top-end Moto G7 gets a Gorilla Glass back, the Power gets a clear plastic back with an undercoat of colour sort of like a faux-glass back and the Moto G7 Play gets regular old opaque plastic.

Currently, all the three phones are available today in Brazil and Mexico and according to a post on Motorola's blog, it promises that the phones will go to Europe in "mid-February" and the US and Canada in "spring." They will also eventually make it to Asia and Latin America. Also, they will be sold "universally unlocked" at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart, and on Amazon.com.

[Leaked] Moto Z4 Play is Coming 48-Megapixel Back Camera

A newly leaked details of the Moto Z4 Play smartphone that is set to succeed the Moto Z3 Play that was launched last year. From the details about the Moto Z4 Play, it sounds very similar to the Motorola P40. From what we saw in the CAD-based renders, it will feature a waterdrop notch and a circular camera hump on the back.

This smartphone is tipped to arrive with the same modular design as its predecessor and the trendy edge-to-edge screen. Today, we exclusively bring to you the expected Moto Z4 Play specifications. The rumours have been tipped to come from a reliable source who wishes to remain anonymous. While most of the details are in line with previously leaked rumours, there’re still some new additions.

The Moto Z4 Play is expected to come with a U-shaped notch atop the display, which has previously been tipped to be 6.22-inch in size. It is going to be the first Moto smartphone to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, so, we expect a Super AMOLED panel.

The handset will be driven by the SM6150 processor, which is expected to be the codename for Qualcomm’s 11nm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Motorola is said to ship the device in two variants with a 4GB and 6GB RAM options and 64GB and 128GB storage. The handset will run on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box and will house a 3,600mAh battery capacity.

For those that love keeping memories, the device will house a 48MP sensor. This time, the camera is not coming from either Sony or Samsung, but the S5KGM1SP by Q Technology. The Q Technology sensor has gained huge popularity ever since Huawei introduced it in its Nova 4 smartphone, followed by Honor (View 20) and Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi (Note 7).

But, the source did not specify whether there would be multiple camera sensors on the back apart from the primary 48-megapixel one. The source confirmed that the smartphone would be arriving with magnetic pins on the back panel. These pins will allow users to attach Moto Mods to turn your Z4 Play into movie projector, boombox, battery powerhouse, and more.

For now, that is all we know. The Moto Z4 Play is expected to be announced in the first half of 2019. Also, the price and availability have not yet been known.

Fitbit Versa 2 Smartwatch Shown off in Different Colors

At last, it looks like Fitbit is planning to build another version of its 'mass appeal' smartwatch the Fitbit Versa. Fitbit is a very well known name in the Fitness Industry and just a year after the launch of Fitbit Versa we could be seeing a new look, Fitbit Vera 2 coming soon. But, that's if all the imagines shown by TechnoBuffalo happens to be a real deal.

The series of renders show a device that looks identical to the current Versa, except they appear to come in a new metallic look that we've yet to see Fitbit roll out. This new-look Versa is coming in different colours including silver, rose pink, purple and cyan blue, but aside from that, they look quite identical to the first version.

Again, aside from the colours, the pictures shown do not appear to show any other new features. The renders showing the back of the watch appear to have the same sensor layout and charging port.

TechnoBuffalo has said that they do not have any confirmed specs list but based on the information known, we may not expect major improvements over the first version of the Versa. The likely specs include 50M water resistance, a pulse heart rate monitor and an aerospace-grade aluminum case.

One of the biggest omissions from the original Versa was GPS, but these renders suggest that Fitbit may still omit this from the Versa 2. There’s also a 6-axis sensor which may add gestures to the interface, or could be used for tracking specific workout exercises.

For the launch date? we are not very clear yet, but if we consider when the original Versa was launched, at the first half of 2018 (March 2018) and going on sale a month later, we might not be too far away from an official unveiling of the Versa 2.

Apple AirPods 2 - What we Expect to See and What we Know

In case you have been waiting to see the updated version of the Apple AirPod, we have got news for you. The Apple AirPod was a huge success and now the company is about to launch an updated version, AirPod 2 to keep the vibe going and it is coming in the first quarter of 2019.

Apple launched its AirPods wireless earbuds in September 2016 alongside the iPhone 7, It was easy to use, had good battery life and pair very well with the Apple Watch, sound quality is excellent, the auto play/pause function is great, the accuracy of the Siri controls is a pleasant surprise and call quality is impressive. If you were thinking of getting a pair of AirPods soon, you might decide to wait for a little while.

Rumours have suggested that Apple may launch new AirPods during the first half of 2019.

There have been strong suggestions that the next version of AirPods will offer Hey Siri, so you will be able to speak commands to Siri that will be picked up by your earbuds, without needing to use your iPhone.

Bloomberg reported that the second-generation AirPods would include a brand new wireless W2 chip that would enable better "Hey Siri" functionality. So, you could say Apple's magic words to activate it, instead of double tapping the AirPods. Also, that W2 chip will improve its connection to your phone and likely improve battery life.

Another big feature is wireless charging, according to notorious tipster Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple already announced a version of AirPods that wirelessly charge, but those have disappeared (likely because the mystical AirPower charging mat has similarly disappeared).

Apple is also likely to sell the wireless charging case separately so older AirPods users can get in on the fun.

This second-gen AirPods was rumored to be launched at Apple's 30 October 2018 event, but nothing like such happened that. Now, Kuo has said again that the second-gen AirPods will see their release in the first quarter of 2019, which seems likely as it has been spotted by MySmartPrice that Apple has made its way through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's regulatory database.

For those desiring for a smarter AirPod, well, you have to wait until 2020 for the third-generation.

Because, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, The third-generation AirPods are likely going to be water resistant so that they could survive splashes of water, rain, and sweat (in case of exercise). So, for now, you won't be able to swim with the second-gen or anything like that, but it's good to know you won't have to worry about them in bad weather.

The 2020 AirPods could also sport noise cancellation features, but a premium feature like that would also likely see the AirPods rise in price. Kuo also says that we're likely to see a redesigned version of AirPods in 2020. We don't exactly know what that means yet, but if Apple is planning on adding a number of new health features, a new design is likely.

A more advanced pair of AirPods with heart rate and ECG sensors is something that we expect, as evidenced by prior patent filings. Apple even updated its AirPods trademark to include a Class 10 designation in Hong Kong and Europe.

The Class 10 is for devices intended for general wellness, specifically describes "health, fitness, exercise, and wellness sensors, monitors, speakers and displays for measuring, displaying, tracking, reporting, monitoring, storing, and transmitting biometric data, heart rate, body movement, and calories burned".

There is a warning here. DigiTimes, which has a mixed track record, reports that the new pair of AirPods expected to arrive in early 2019 will use "discrete designs" for "health monitoring features". Currently, we are not exactly sure what that means, but it seems unlikely that serious health features could arrive in this 2019 version.

When will the AirPod 2 headphones come out?

Currently, there has not been any confirmation yet from Apple itself. But, Rumours has suggested that we will see the new AirPod 2 in the first quarter of 2019.

But, if we had to guess on a date, we'd suggest on the Apple Event coming up in March 2019, although there have been some rumours that the next-generation AirPods could launch even earlier in 2019.

Let's wait and see.
