[Leaked] Moto Z4 Play is Coming 48-Megapixel Back Camera

A newly leaked details of the Moto Z4 Play smartphone that is set to succeed the Moto Z3 Play that was launched last year. From the details about the Moto Z4 Play, it sounds very similar to the Motorola P40. From what we saw in the CAD-based renders, it will feature a waterdrop notch and a circular camera hump on the back.

This smartphone is tipped to arrive with the same modular design as its predecessor and the trendy edge-to-edge screen. Today, we exclusively bring to you the expected Moto Z4 Play specifications. The rumours have been tipped to come from a reliable source who wishes to remain anonymous. While most of the details are in line with previously leaked rumours, there’re still some new additions.

The Moto Z4 Play is expected to come with a U-shaped notch atop the display, which has previously been tipped to be 6.22-inch in size. It is going to be the first Moto smartphone to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, so, we expect a Super AMOLED panel.

The handset will be driven by the SM6150 processor, which is expected to be the codename for Qualcomm’s 11nm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Motorola is said to ship the device in two variants with a 4GB and 6GB RAM options and 64GB and 128GB storage. The handset will run on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box and will house a 3,600mAh battery capacity.

For those that love keeping memories, the device will house a 48MP sensor. This time, the camera is not coming from either Sony or Samsung, but the S5KGM1SP by Q Technology. The Q Technology sensor has gained huge popularity ever since Huawei introduced it in its Nova 4 smartphone, followed by Honor (View 20) and Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi (Note 7).

But, the source did not specify whether there would be multiple camera sensors on the back apart from the primary 48-megapixel one. The source confirmed that the smartphone would be arriving with magnetic pins on the back panel. These pins will allow users to attach Moto Mods to turn your Z4 Play into movie projector, boombox, battery powerhouse, and more.

For now, that is all we know. The Moto Z4 Play is expected to be announced in the first half of 2019. Also, the price and availability have not yet been known.
