It is very exciting that the itel P33 and itel P33 Plus is coming at very affordable prices. This new device boasts a better ROM size and a better performance than its predecessor - itel P32. We have got some details about the device, so let's find out more.

Itel P33 and P33 - Design and Display

The device has good display size, but unfortunately, the notch design we have been seen in 2019 smartphones is missing here. But, considering the price, that is not an issue. The P33 boasts a 5.5-inch display size while the P33 Plus has a large display size of 6.0 for a bigger view that is perfect for gaming and video streaming.

The body of the devices is made with plastic material, considering that it is a low-end smartphone, itel, designed them to meet the users choice of color, coming three different colors - Champagne Gold, Black, and Blue. Also, the P33 and P33 Plus offers you amazingly vivid colours that make a great fashion statement.

Furthermore, at the back are the double horizontal camera with a LED light under the camera, a fingerprint scanner at the center. At the side is a power on and off button and volume up and down. The design is very sleek and fits perfectly in hand. The device has a slim body with curved edges.

Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Performance, Storage and Camera

A device with a low performance is one of the worst experience you would never wish and that is why itel has packed the device with a Mediatek MT6580, Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor to aid a better performance. A 1GB of Ram size is onboard on both the P33 and P33 Plus to ensure that the device remains in a good performance even under heavy usage.

Mediatek may be quite disappointing considering the quality and large Ram size that we have seen in many of the 2019 smartphones but considering the price, I don't see anything wrong with them. And the performance is further enhanced with the Android 8.1 OS found in both devices.

The P33 and P33 Plus can comfortably multitask with gaming, videos streaming and internet browsing without breaking a sweat but I won't advise you to overwork the device.

As for the storage, there is a 16GB inbuilt storage, that may not be enough for some person. The good news is that there is a MicroSD expansion slot that allows you to expand the storage up to 32GB giving you more rooms to store your important files.

For photo lovers, the P33 and P33 Plus has a dual 8MP camera at the back to bring you quality photos with a LED light that helps take more clearer photos even in night time. While, at the front, the P33 has a 5MP front-facing selfie camera. The P33 Plus has a better selfie camera of 8MP for better selfies. Both have a front LED light for taking selfies even in dim light.

Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Battery and Other Features

Itel understands that long-lasting battery is one of the selling points of smartphones in Nigeria. So, the company has packed the P33 with a 4000mAh Battery capacity and the P33 Plus with a 5000mAh Battery capacity that allows you to use the device at least a whole day with boarding of continuous charge.

In addition to the large battery capacity, the is no fast charge support for the device, meaning that you would have to be patient for your smartphone to get to %100 while charging.

Been a low-end did not stop itel to pack the device with some amazing features, there is a fingerprint scanner present in both device and a face lock. While, the connectivity options include WIFI, Hotspot, USB, 3G, and Bluetooth support. Although, 4G LTE is missing.

Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Difference and Similarities

There are some notable difference and similarities between the P33 and P33 Plus.

The similarities include a 1GB Ram, 16GB internal storage, dual 8MP back camera, and they both run on the same processor and powered with the same Android 8.1 operating system. They both have a fingerprint scanner at the back and support the facial lock, supports only 3G Network.

While in terms of the difference, the P33 Plus has a bigger display size of 6.0 inch and the P33 has a 5.2-inch, P33 Plus has a 5000mAh battery as compared to the 4000mAh found in the P33. There is also a difference in the selfie, 8MP front-facing camera is found on the P33 Plus while the P33 has a 5MP selfie.

Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Price and Availablity

Currently, the devices are available for order from Online shops and it is also available offline. Considering that the P33 Plus has improved features compared to the P33, it is more priced. The devices were launched with a price tag of N24,000 for the P33 and N26,300 for the P33 Plus.

I will also add that the price may also differ depending on where you are buying the device.

Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Pros
  • Very affordable price
  • Supports face lock and fingerprint scanner - which means that the device is security conscious
  • Dual back camera for better camera both day and night
  • Large battery capacity that can last a whole day and will not require regular charging
  • Beautiful and nice display size
Itel P33 and P33 Plus - Cons
  • No 4G LTE - This is better than 3G in terms of download speed
  • At least one of the variants should have included a 4G LTE
  • Also, one of the should come with 2GB Ram
In summary, considering that the device is low-end, I am not disappointed with it features and specifications. I just wished the Plus version has at least 2GB of Ram and support 4G LTE to make the difference stand out.
