Vivo X27 unveiled: Specifications, Price, Pros and Cons

The anticipated Vivo X27 has finally been announced, this device is the improved or upgraded version of the Vivo V15 Pro that was also recently launched. The device arrived with very impressive features that make it a lovable smartphone.

The X27 comes with a built-in fingerprint scanner, and Vivo has removed the notch like we saw with the OPPO F11 Pro. There’s a triple camera on the rear with a 48MP Quad Bayer sensor in the main module. It defaults to 12MP mode, as is the intended use case of Quad Bayer cameras. No much changes here.

The device is designed to offer the users a good and superfast performance powered with by a Snapdragon chipset. It also incorporates a rising front camera mechanism (becoming the new trend). However, let's look at the device specification.

Vivo X27 - Design and Display

The design is very impressive with a  6.39-inch FHD+ high-definition large field of view, 19.5:9 screen ratio, extending the grandeur of the stars, the phone achieves a 90.90% screen-to-body ratio and designed to be free from obstructions and that is why the selfie camera is position at the top. 

Also, the Infrared distance sensing devices and light-sensing devices are subtly hidden so that the surrounding black edges are narrowed. The screen size is the length of the diagonal of the screen measured in accordance with the standard rectangle.

Vivo uses anano-scale multiple exposure and plasma polishing technologies to design the X27 to gradually align the rounded microstructure according to the level of "feather", allowing light and shadow to flow with the texture. Each irradiation is a unique color, available in Chaffinch blue and Pink gold colours.

At the back is a vertically stacked 48MP+13MP+5MP triple-camera setup that is sidely placed. There is no fingerprint scanner underneath the cameras, this time it is positioned on the screen that is ideal for easy access. All this contributes to a gorgeous looking handset that makes it perfect for the handheld.

The phone is quite heavy and weighs 188.3g.

Vivo X27 - Performance, Storage and Camera

With this X27, you can't anything less than a fast performance. The Vivo X27 have a high-profile configuration to ensure fast performance, smooth game loading, realizing the game resident in the background, and frequently switch with other applications (multitasking), easy and effortless.

The device achieved its power and performance with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor that promises no nagging and no slow performance even under heavy usage. Furthermore, the performance is enhanced with an 8GB big RAM and 256GB memory.

You don't have anything to worry about storage space. We are completely satisfied with the 256GB and no microSD card slot.

Another enticing feature of the Vivo X27 is the camera. The primary configuration at the back of the device is comprised of a triple 48MP+13MP+5MP imaging setup. To make impressive low light portrait photography possible, this camera offers an impressive f/1.79 aperture and a 6P lens setup to capture more light.

The rear 48MP uses the Sony IMX586 sensor, 1/2.0-inch photosensitive element, f / 1.79 large aperture, it also has an ultra-high image resolution; 0.8um process and Quad Bayer color filter. The rear three-shot post normal camera mode default output is 12MP and you can choose 4800 pixels ultra clear output.

The front camera is a 16MP selfie camera, hidden at the top of the screen. The front camera has a transparent lifting design, and the lifting stroke is shortened to 0.68 seconds. It can be taken at any time and anywhere, the camera jumps out.

Vivo X27 - Battery and Other Features

When it comes to the battery, the bigger the better. The X27 gives you a normal 4000mAh battery capacity with fast charging support. Not only is the temperature rise controllable, but the charging speed is also guaranteed. What is the point of owning a smartphone with a powerful feature and poor battery capacity?

So, this 4000mAh capacity promises a full day usage. This means that you no longer have to worry about charging your phone regularly. 

Furthermore, on other features, the X27 is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM cards and has connectivity options that include; Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and 4G, while the sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor positioned at the screen.

Vivo X27 - Price and Availablity

The Vivo X27 is currently available in China for CNY 3,600 ($535/€470), which is a bit expensive compared to the V15 Pro. Aside from China the device not available in other regions yet. Hopefully, the device should be available in other regions from next month (Apirl 2019).

Finally, Vivo is a well-known smartphone making company in China. The company may not as popular as Samsung, LG, Huawei, iPhone, and others but they are a good brand with quality smartphones. This X27 is definitely a nice device, with powerful feature and cost way less than many BIG Brands.
