Huawei P smart Z Launched: Huawei's First Smartphone with Pop Selfie Camera

Huawei has joined the business of making pop-up selfie camera smartphone and this Huawei P smart Z is the companies first pop-up camera smartphone. With the pop-up selfie, we are the notch completely goon here (which we saw in most of Huawei recent smartphones), which means you are getting a complete full screen.

The device is not expensive, which might be good news for Huawei fans looking for a pop-up camera smartphone. The low priced midrange smartphones mean that we are seeing the in-display fingerprint reader goon, giving you a traditional rear fingerprint here. The device has a dual texture finish, which gives it a bit of a Google Pixel look.

Without much stories, let's see the Huawei P smart Z specifications summary.

The Huawei P smart Z follows Huawei standards of sleek and beautiful design, the device has a unique dividing line that highlights this design from the other Huwaei devices. On the smooth back, the texture shines in the light and the details can be clearly seen.

It has a 6.59-inch 1080 x 2340 screen and available in three color options - Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue colors. The device is completely notcheless and offers full screen suitable for gaming and video streaming.
As for the camera, the device features a dual-lens rear camera with a 16MP f/1.8 main lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a Pixel-like design, with a two-tone color scheme on the back. The front camera, which is mounted on a pop-up mechanism, houses a 16MP sensor. The mechanism takes 1 second to extend.

It has been tested to last 100,000 cycles and it can withstand 12kg of force. AI is available for both front and back cameras and it can retouch portraits as well as recognize 500+ scenes in 22 categories.

The phone is powered by a mid-range octa-core Kirin 710F chipset and a 4GB of RAM, it has 64GB of storage and can also be expandable using a microSD card. It is powered with a 4,000mAh battery capacity, it does not fast charge. It does use USB-C, which is news only because the P smart 2019 uses microUSB and runs Android 9 Pie overlaid with Huawei’s EMUI 9 interface.

The fingerprint is located at the back of the device.

The mid-ranger is currently available in Spain and Italy, where stores are listing it for €279 (around $310/£240/AU$450) but we wouldn’t be surprised if the phone makes it to other parts of the world. The US release though is very unlikely given Huawei’s issues in the country.
