Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro - Specifications, Price, Difference, Pros and Cons

Infinix Smartphones has added an upgrade to its zero flagships, the Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro. An upgraded version of the Infinix Zero 5 and 5 Pro. This is the third smartphone the company is releasing in 2019 currently. First was the Hot 7 and Hot 7 Pro, secondly the powerful Infinix Hot S4 (my favorite Infinix smartphone currently).

This Zero 6 comes in two variants with a slight difference and they are priced separately. The Pro is more expansive because of its extra features. Again, design-wise, it follows the notch design and features double rear-camera setup. Obviously, the device is more expensive as compared to other middle range smartphones. As usual, it has a rear fingerprint scanner for fast unlocking positioned at the center, close to the top of the top, a dual 12MP+24MP camera positioned vertically at the top. While at the side, is the volume up and down and a power bottom under the volume. The speaker is found at the bottom of the device, close to the MicroUSB port for charging. At the other side is the slot for SIM and MicroSD.

The device is designed with the modern smartphone trend with dual glass protecting both the front and the back. The front is featuring the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The screen stretches up to 87% screen to body ratio and dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro - Performance, Storage and Camera

The Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pros is expected to offer a super fast performance that user craves for. The device features a 6GB of Ram size with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that enables the device to perform smoothly even under heavy usage without nagging or slowing down. The device has a good performance that makes it suitable for gaming and multitasking.

But, Infinix has decided to power the device with previous Android 8.1 OS instead of the latest Android 9.1 Pie that would have further enhanced the performance of the device.

The device also has the Adreno 509 GPU that can handle gaming and graphic-demanding tasks making it a nice choice for gamers.

As for the storage, the Zero 6 has an internal 64GB for the 6 and 128GB for the 6 Pro, the device also supports a MicroSD card expansion up to 512GB (128GB on the official website) giving the user enough to store more file with running out of storage more frequently. Again, both versions are powered with a 6GB of Ram size.

Furthermore, the device has a dual 12MP+24MP rear camera with 12M AF+ 24M AF aperture, the camera can also be used to video high-quality videos. The lenses are aligned vertically and below them is a Quad-LED flash for effective subject illumination under conditions of low-light. At the front is a 20MP camera for selfies with 20M AF aperture.

Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro - Battery and Connectivity

For many buyers, the battery capacity is the major deciding feature, and the Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro comes with a normal 3650mAh battery capacity that promises a 34Hours talk time on 2G and 32Hours talk time on 3G and can last a full day under heavy usage. The device also comes with fast charge support.

As for the connectivity, the device supports a 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n ), WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, OTG, 3.5mm jack, while the Sensors include G-sensor, Light Sensor, E-Compass, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, and Fingerprint sensor

Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro - Price and Availability

Both devices is currently available for order in Nigeria, the price of the Infinix Zero 6 ranges between 104,000 Naira to 110,000 Naira, while the Infinix Zero 6 Pro ranges between 125,000 Naira to 145,000 Naira. Again, depending on where you are buying the device from, the price will differ.

However, you can order the smartphone from online malls or offline malls. They are currently available in Nigeria.

Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro - Difference

There is no much difference between both devices. One of the major difference is the price. As for the features, they both have the same feature except that the Pro has 128GB, while the Zero 6 has a 64GB inbuilt storage.

The storage is the only difference while every other features and specification remains the same.

Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro - Pros
  • 4G LTE for fast internet browsing and downloads
  • Lots of internal storage, up to 32GB/ 64GB and can also be expandable
  • Good performance powered by a 3GB/6GB Ram and latest Android 9 OS
  • Supports fingerprint and face lock for fast unlocking of the device.

Infinix Zero 6 and Infinix Zero 6 Pro - Cons
  • Runs on the previous Android 8.1 OS
  • Dual Nano SIM - either you use one SIM and a MicroSD card or two SIM without MicroSD card
  • Battery capacity should have been upgraded to at least 4000mAh
Finally, the device is kinda over hipped, there is even no much clear difference with the previous version, Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro. But, if you think you like the design and can afford the price then the choice is yours. For me, I prefer the Infinix Hot S4 to Zero 6. In terms of price, it's far cheaper and the difference in specs are not much.
